The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has launched a website for the public that allows you to access economic and market data for any state, Metro Statistical Area or county in the U.S.! The ”Market at a Glance“ reports are based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and American Community Survey data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Some adjustments by HUD field econcomists are made bases on the information. The data is to be released monthly for most areas.

After the recent gas pipe explosion in San Bruno California many people started looking to find out where gas pipelines were in their area. National Pipeline Mapping System has a website where you can easily find this information out! There is a Public map viewer that will allow you to see gas transmission pipelines and hazardous liquid trunklines. It doesn’t contain distribution pipelines, such as ones that deliver gas to a home.
This one is for Real Estate agents: Pocket Listings is a great site for your “off market” real estate opportunities. It is a site designed by Real Estate Agents for Real Estate Agents. It allows you to share your listings that are not on the market. You can also share a Buyers needs/wants and see if someone has a home to fit!
