Benefit in Franklin for Arms and Legs!
It’s not often that a great cause plus FUN come along together! On the night of Nov 13th, at the Franklin Factory, we have the chance to do both at once! The Mending Limbs Organization is having their 3rd Annual fundraiser to help supply prosthetic limbs to people who lose an arm or leg to disease, trauma or birth defects. Until personally affected, most people assume that prosthetic limbs are covered by insurance. But that is wrong. Many insurance policies treat prosthetic limbs as medical equipment and don’t cover it at all or at only a fraction of the cost. Most limbs need to be replaced yearly for children as they grow, and every 5 years for adults due to wear and tear. It is extremely expensive. So, “voila” this organization was born to raise money to help amputees buy arms and legs.
This is a cause that could happen to any of us! The Benefit concert will go from 6-10 PM, Saturday, Nov 13, 2010 at the Factory, Building 8. Cost is $75/ticket pre-sale and $85/ticket at the door. The ticket includes all you can eat and drink, plus, KingBilly Band, Cory Batten, Johnny Hilland, Sean Smith, The Vespers and MC’d by Anastasia Brown. Food is courtesy of Boscos, Stoney River, Brinkmans Wine and Spirits, Cozymels and others!
